The Campaign for Greater Buffalo History, Architecture & Culture is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Our core mission includes the following:
1. To encourage, assist, and promote the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the human setting of Erie and Niagara counties, including culturally significant buildings, structures, neighborhoods, parks, and viewsheds, for the benefit of the residents of Erie and Niagara counties and visitors;
2. To develop and disseminate plans that promote neighborhood development that is sensitive to the existing historic, architectural, and cultural setting;
3. To disseminate information and stimulate public interest in history, architecture, and culture through tours and exhibits, and educational programs;
4. To review laws affecting conservation, zoning, and planning to determine whether such laws are being enforced and to persuade the proper officials to enforce such laws.

The Campaign gets no government grants. We rely on concerned citizens like you for almost all of our support.You can help support preservation and sane, traditional development by joining The Campaign. One-year membership is $25 for an individual, $35 for a household (up to 2 adults and related children at same address). True Believers can donate $100 and up. Members get tour discounts, our Greater Buffalo newspaper, and notices on events and important meetings. Ride the magical Open-Air Autobus!

Buschurch4 The Campaign for Greater Buffalo History, Architecture & Culture has launched its long-awaited open-air tour bus service.

The Campaign received a challenge grant from the Margaret L. Wendt Foundation in 2005. Contributions from Campaign members, The Rupp Foundation, and The Baird Foundation met the match.

The bus, dubbed the Open-Air Autobus and painted in 1920’s-style green and cream livery, will be the first open air bus to ever operate in Buffalo. Riders will not only enjoy the ride itself, but will have 360-degree views all around the rolling platform, greatly aiding in the architectectural and historical appreciation that is the focus of the Campaign’s tours.

Tickets for the tours are $20 for the general public, $16 for Campaign for Buffalo members. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ups welcome, space permitting. Info and reservations: 854-3749 or OpenAirBuffalo.org.
